Verse: “Lord, if it’s you, tell me to come to you on the water.” — Matthew 14:28
Devotion:
Peter didn’t ask for a guarantee. He asked for a word.
And when Jesus said “Come,” Peter stepped out — not because he was brave, but because he trusted the voice more than the waves.
Faith is not the absence of fear. It is the decision to move toward the One who calls you, even when the sea beneath you is uncertain.
Your storm may not be a sea. But the same voice that said “Come” to Peter is saying it to you today.
Reflection Question: What is one step — however small — that you can take today toward the One who is calling you?
Closing: “Take courage! It is I. Don’t be afraid.” — Matthew 14:27
